My name is Laila Utsi-Nägga, I and my family welcome you to stay in Ritsem. When you live with us, you experience the area a bit closer.
Ritsem has long been a home for the Sami people, with most part-time residents now belonging to the Unna Tjerusj Sami association. Reindeer herding takes place in the area, so please be respectful of the animals and workers. Feel free to ask us if you'd like to know more.
Ritsem offers stunning views of the Áhkká massif and is a great starting point for hikes and skiing in Sarek, Padjelanta, and Stora Sjöfall National Parks. A mini market, bike rentals, and showers are available two kilometers away. Enjoy the chapel, helicopter rides, fishing, hunting, or relaxing by our cabins.
Stora Sjöfallet is worth a visit, and don't miss Naturum Laponia. A great day trip is to take the M/S Storlule boat across Áhkkajaure and hike the 7 km between Änonjalme and Vaisaluokta, part of Sirge's Sami association. Visit the chapel in Vaisaluokta and return by boat in the evening.
